Connecting Sky Box to TV using RF cable

    Hi there,

Just a quick question. I've an old Sky Box at home, which is now spare as I upgraded to Sky HD.

I've arranged for Sky Multiroom, so I can use the box in a different room. Sky are posting out the card to me, and I arranged for a local guy to do the install for me.

However, I've managed to get an installation appointment for this evening ( short notice, but I'm not complaining ) and I haven't even bought a second TV yet!

I have an old TV, but it only has a standard RF socket ( like the one you use for Rabbit Ears ), it doesn't even have a Scart Socket. My Sky Box is approx. 6 years old, made by Panasonic. Does anyone know if the TV will connect to the Sky Box using an RF Cable? Or do I have to move my new TV into the other room just so the guy can test the install? Thanks!

    J.

Excellent, thanks for the quick reply! I'll end up using Scart or whatever when I get the new TV, but it'll be handy to use our crap portable just to get it tested tonight. Thanks!

Hi, for the last two weeks I have been getting No signal sign everytime I try to put on my free to air (through a skybox), I have tried the connections at the back, and I have tried turning the box off for a couple of hours, but with no luck. I read something in the papers about all free to air users in the UK having the same problem, as anybody any ideas, of how to resolve this problem.

    Many thanks
