Dropping out

    Ive failed me repeats and i cant afford to go back next year so i have to drop out but do i have to go to Cork to drop out? the ucc site is not that helpful.:(

    sorry to hear it - contact the welfare office in UCC, they'll know the workings of a situation like this.

    You have to officially de-register with the student records office. Also, find out how many credits you have to repeat - you may not have to repeat the whole course so the cost may not be as bad as you thought.

    Yeah, don't give up yet. I knew a guy who had to repeat just one module last year. Two hours per week in college.

    Find a full time job ffs.

    Well i thought i did but as the year went on I just didn't like it.( it was computer science btw) its just that thats not how i view computers. it was just not what i had in mind to be honest and well i couldn't afford to repeat anyway as i would not get a grant :(
    Ah well.I've dropped out now anyway. Maybe ill be back next year because i want to do music.
