I am hoping to go to NZ for a snow season (aprl maybe) anyone ever been here before and can give advice on accomodation. Also and i know this may sound like a silly question but are there restrictions on getting both an Australian and a NZ visa at the same time (30 this year so runnin out of time :-)

No restrictions on getting both visas. Just try and coordinate your dates so there's little overlap.
