    Hi,

This may have been mentioned before but I cant find a related post.

What distance is the circle of the polo grounds in the phoenix park?

I am looking for somewhere to do a paced 5k run and as far as I can tell the distance is 1k.

If anyone knows officially it would be greatly appreciated.

    B

Plan to do one after I get Clondalkin out of the way to see where I stand for speed over a 4/5k.
Clondalkin is to get a 10k time on the board and after that I am going to start work towards reducing my times.
I think Aware do a 10k in Dec in the phoenix park so I will aim for improvements on Clondalkin with a training plan focussed on speed etc.

The clondalkin one is just donw the road from me , i might do it , but will depend on number and route , were doing a 5 k in the same park and it was hard enough to get a good route

You could try the path around the football fields opposite Fifteen Acres. It is the bit on the edge of the nice green grass area.

This will obviously not be mucky or muddy. You can use Gmaps Pedometer to measure it. I think it is around 2.7km.
