    Hi there

Was clamped today I had put the ticket im my pocket-dumb I know and had paid this and all.

However I called them up and told my story they said to photocopy the receipt and post it to them and they will look into it.

But I know I would not get a refund

I said I would pay cash and went up to the atm but was broken as had no cash then rushed up to car park again incase I missed the clamper as they said he would be there within an hour.

The clamper arrived and I told him id have to call office to pay them.

So I called there office and the guy said the clamper will be there in 20 mins, all the time the clamper had taken the clamp off.

So I headed away no payment made

However now I feel guilty should I call them to pay fine as could they take legal action etc?
Please advise anyone who may have seen this before advice would be great
    Noel

Just photocopy it and send it to them.

And why would you feel guilty about the clampers?! Stick it to them.

That reminds me of a funny clamping incident.

I used to live on Mountjoy Square (Yeah, I know) and there was a car park with electric gates out the back. So a guy from another flat parked this ****-heap toyota starlet or something just inside the gate so it couldn't close. After a few days a clamp (not a Dublin City Council one, though, some flimsy-looking yoke) is put on his car. Now this guy is a complete scumbag, I'd seen him dealing out back a couple of times.

Anyway, I'm sitting in my kitchen when this banging starts up out back. the guy is bashing the fook out of the clamp with various hammers and wrenches. So he stays at it for at least a half an hour. I looked out again when my friend came in, then all of a sudden, four plainclothes Gardai came belting in the gate, pinned him to the ground, and arrested him. There was a whole big scene.

My friend then says "Jesus, I didn't know they could arrest you for trying to take off a clamp."

I'd pay it, or they'll send this guy after you!
