    DART suspended: Lansdowne Road to Dun Laoghaire by Corporate Communications

    UPDATE 11.30hrs 16th September 2008

    DART services are currently suspended between Lansdowne Road and Dun Laoghaire, due to an incident beyond our control south of Sydney Parade Station.

    Dublin Bus will accept rail tickets for customers.

    The 11.35hrs Connolly to Gorey service has been cancelled.

    Iarnród Éireann apologises for the inconvenience caused.

    The emergency services are currently attending the scene, and it is estimated the line will reopen at approximately 12.30hrs.

    A man has been struck by a train in Dublin.

    The incident happened at Sydney Parade Station shortly after 11am this morning.

    Emergency services are at the scene, and train services between Lansdowne Road and Dun Laoghaire have been suspended until further notice.

    the sooner they grade separate the merrion gates the better. that whole area is a microcosm of the lack of planning in this country.
