Program to automate making image from Yahoo maps?

The city I used to live in has changed greatly over the past few years. The satellite imagery that Yahoo! Maps has of the city is quite a few years old, and still shows many things that do not exist any more. It brings back a lot of nice memories looking at this imagery, so I would like to make a local copy of it before Yahoo! updates it with newer pictures.

I have tried taking screen captures of adjacent parts of the map (with a little overlap) and then putting all the pictures together into a larger one, which works, but is very time-consuming.

If anyone knows of a way (perhaps someone has written a program to do it) of somehow specifying the area that is desired (for example by putting in the coordinates) and then getting the satellite imagery for that area from Yahoo! Maps saved as a local copy, I would be very grateful if they could let me know about it.

    Thanks.
