    Hey Folks,

I've had a wee dandruff problem for many years now and was always conscious of wearing dark coloured clothes as it would of course show up the problem. A while back I ran out of shampoo and rather than replacing the bottle I decided to use the baby shampoo we had bought (for one reason or another) many many months earlier. I had never used the shampoo before but since using it I haven't had any dandruff- -YAY!

I haven't changed anything in my life and I'm not eating any differently so I can only put it down to this shampoo which we had either bought in Aldi or Lidl, I can't remember which it was so long ago.

Anywhoo I thought it was worth sharing this little bit of info with you, I hope it helps someone out. I was even able to wear a black shirt into work last week with no problems!

That's interesting! Maybe an ingredient in the normal shampoos reacted poorly with your scalp? Definitely a neat trick, though, I'll keep it in mind!

I'll try that. How did your hair feel after it? Sleek enough?

Normal shampoo has so much cack in it. You might not have proper dandruff, but build up of all the gunk on your scalp from the shampoos that leave residues? Your scalp might be reacting to that.
My scalp has an allergy to Pantene (cos it coats the hair) but it make my hair feel gorgeous. :(

I use the Aussie stuff now cos I'm in the UK and it's super rich with the water here. It's doesn't leave any residue apparently.

Hmmm. I am in the pursuit of sleekness... :)
Will pop to Lidl today and try this though.

There might just be more moisteriser in the baby shampoo, coupled with it having a lower ph than normal shampoo?

Either ways, happy days for yourself!

I only read about this anti dandruff solution last week .

You crush some asprin up and mix it with a bottle of hot water .Allow water to go warm ,then rub all over your scalp and shampoo as normal .

Havent tried it yet to see if it works.

Many soaps, shampoos & detergents have a lathering agent, I think sodium laurate or something, it can cause dermatitis/dandruff/eczema/psorasis. I get deramtitis on my feet so have to wash stuff in non-bio and wear cotton socks.

Most "baby" products would not have these chemicals since babies would be more prone to these conditions.

Vinegar is another cure for dandruff it is a sort of stripping agent to clear dead cells, it is best to leave most dandruff shampoos on for 2-5mins to let them really work. You can just soak your hair lather it up, then get in the shower a few mins later.
