    Hi,

Just wondering if you think iWork 08 is worth the 80euro it costs and also if the subscription to mobile me is worth it.
I'm studying Journalism in college and I dont think 'Text Edit' really cuts it.
    (I have Macbook btw)

iWork is well worth the €80 as an app for individual use. I much prefer it to Microsoft Office (which I used on Windows, not Mac), especially Keynote. However, it becomes a pain in the neck when sharing documents with people using Office. Formatting has a tendency to become messed up. This is also true when using different versions of Office though, although usually to a lesser extent.

My solution is to use iWork as much as possible, and when I need to collaborate on projects I export to Office format, then check the document in Office 2003 on Windows (running in a VM). Your solution might be different but don't rely on iWork to export (or read) Office documents faithfully.
