electric problem

    Just washed my car, drove it out of my driveway, just had a look to see my good work, noiced my indicator lights were on. I looked in the car, none of the switches were on. more strange about it is theyre not flashing, thyre just on. anyone know whats wrong with it. Its a ford escort

    I think Ford Escort says it all!! Water probably got into one of the lights and the contacts etc are wet. Your best bet is to look at all the lights and see if water is in one (or more!) of them. Then its a case of drying it out and sparying some WD40 onto the contacts etc.

    Do you hear a ticking in the cabin, check the relay under the bonnett, give it a little light tap and or re-seat it. Relays can often weld shut .
