Can anyone tell me how much it would cost to get from Dublin Heuston - Newbridge by train, return if you can!

Need to get there on Wednesday evening.

    Thanks!

Jebus that seems like a lot of money...

    How do commuters afford that?!

    Oh well!

I understand that Newbridge has just about the highest fares in the country to Dublin.

If you buy a monthly ticket and use it 20 days it works out at €8.05 per day. Then you avail of the tax saver scheme.

Indeed. Newbridge has the highest cost per mile from Dublin of any station. But I have the annual taxsaver ticket (with luas add on) which costs me 15 euro a week aftert tax deductions.

This must be based on you earning enough to be in the higher tax bracket, i.e. it would cost more for someone who earns less... Or am I wrong about that?

The 126 bus is a lot cheaper more frequent and will drop you into the city centre.
