iMac to flatscreen

I want to connect an iMac to a flatscreen TV. As far as I can tell, I will need a mini DVI to DVI adapter and a DVI to HDMI adapter. I am getting confused with the different DVI plugs. Apparently there is DVI-D, DVI-I and a few more I think?
Anybody know exactly which ones are required and the best places to buy them?

Here's a good explanation of the different DVI-? standards.

The cable that Apple sell for the iMac, Macbook and Powerbook 12" is a Mini-DVI to DVI-D. This means it's a digital out only connector so your TV must support DVI-D. I haven't tried this with an iMac but with a Mac Mini I've use the DVI out through a DVI-HDMI adaptor to a Samsung 40" LCD with HDMI with success.

You might find this useful too.
