For anyone who knows Dolan's down here in Stab City, an 85mm would be perfect, but I had to have a 50mm and a 100mm :( Basked in red light for some reason, PP was an exercise in patience...

It was worth the effort. Great shots.

They look good to me, well done.

I have to say I'm intrigued with the idea of the singer using a megaphone into the mike, I suppose you had to be there to appreciate it.:pac:

It wasn't because his voice was too soft, it gave him this 'on the radio' type of sound...

no. 5 is excellent, i really like it. red lights nasty for gigs, red gels should all be burnt in a big bonfire and replaced with lovelt green and blue ones

#1 I like, it's nice to see colour work in a gig photo.
#2 I'm bias because I normally photo fast energetic music but this is just so dull and I aim this at the artist not the photograph.
#3 Original this one, would like to see a bit cropped from top and pity you never got his left arm fully in.
#4 Not bad but head of the Bass missing.
    #5 This is nice...
#6 Prob the best composition but also the weakest picture IMO as it's very noisy and it's missing body parts as well as it needs cropping from the top.
One final comment is a lot of the pictures are sameish when it comes to capturing the feel of the gig, I'd funnily enough like to see you photograph a "fast" band full of emotion.

I'd say number 5 is my fav. The contrast and B&W conversion is great. It's nicely framed too. I just had a look at the exif for some of them on flickr. The last one has a shutter speed of 800. I'd have brought that down to 50 or 60 and tried to lower the ISO. I never go as high at 3200 on the 40D. I always try and get away with under 1600 maybe you had particularily bad light though.
