    It was mentioned in Which? but has not been tested by them.

    LOL, why turn them off, they're no good when they're turned off.
    Mine dont get turned off, 3 of them. I sometimes put the pc's on standby, but the servers been on for months, rebooted it twice since last november.

    schedule a task with a batch script?

    echo shutdown -s >> c:\shutdn.bat
    at 02:00 c:\shutdn.bat

    i have to laugh at their networked version you have to pay for, it'd take 15 minutes to script that.. and thats working slowly

    Have a look at "Sleepy"

    It does pretty much the same but without the annual subscription.

    This one has a tiny footprint & basic interface but still has all the features. You can even control it across the Net.

    I find the shutdown option in the start menu or the button on the case is great for shutting down, it does it anytime u want exacly when u want...just press it and walla:D
