Does anyone know of unique venues for Wedding Cermonies....along the lines of Clonmacnoise, Glendalough or Coolcarrigan. Would really love an ancient type of monastic grounds or something like that, but don't know if these places are actually allowed to be used for weddings. Spotted this beautiful place Coolcarrigan, but only holds 65 people.

All help greatly appreciated as just realising what a hugely difficult and daunting task it is to find our dream venue!! Thank you!!

Is it for a religious or a civil ceremony ?
Any restriction on which part of the country you would like ?

It will be a catholic wedding ceremony, approx 130 people.
Preferrably Leinster but open to suggestions!

Well, that restricts it a bit.

Not quite what you're looking for, but have you considered the University Church in St. Stephen's Green, or the 'Blue Church' in Kiltiernan ?
