Suggestions for break for 2 teenagers

For a number of reasons my 13 & 15 yr old have had a pretty rough time over the last six weeks. (mainly a serious accident to a family member)
I want to take them away for a few days at the end of October and I'm thinking along the lines of eurodisney (halloween??) with a day or two in central Paris. Would this be a bit too childish for thier age group?
Or has anybody got any good suggestions. Cities accessible by air from Dublin or Belfast preferably. They like the usual teenage things - ****e music but can be persuaded towards decent dad rock, theme parks & monosyllabic answers.

I went to Eurodisney when I was 12 and was pretty jaded, seeing the characters and merchandise only really appeals to Disney fans when they've hit that age. Try Alton Towers? They put on great Halloween themed events too, could go shopping in Nottingham or Liverpool.

A trip to Manchester and Alton Towers perhaps? Alton Towers is a bit 'cooler' than Disney.

Hey folks looking at going to Alton Towers myself shortly, problem is I cannot bring a car.

Anyone been there before know if there are regular bus routes to it?

    Cheers.

It really depends on their personalities and what they're into. My son is 13 and if it I was in the same situation I would take him to London. We went a couple of years ago and he still talks about going back.
    We went to:
a show in the West End
    Madame Tussaud's
    Natural History Museum
    Science Museum
    London Eye
    London Dungeon
    Tower of London
    Hamleys
    Magic Kingdom at Harrods
There was a lot more to do but not enough time to do it all!

He's into adventure things as well and this year we were at Gardaland, at Lake Garda in Italy, which had a lot more rides for older children/adults than Disneland Paris, but obviously that might be a long way to go!

I'd recommend PortAventura (http://www.portaventura.co.uk/). Cheap flights with Ryanair to Reus or get a flight to Barcelona and take the train down (about an hour). It's huge with some really great rides - scared the s*it* out of me and I'm a rollercoaster junkie. The weather should still be t-shirt during the day and Barcelona is a train ride away for some culture. And they do some great off-season hotel and park pass deals.
