immediate PUVA treatment for psoriasis?

I was wondering if anyone could possibly help. I recently went to my GP to get a letter of referral to see a dermatologist with the intention of starting a course of PUVA treatment for my psoriasis. I got a letter back today with an appointment scheduled in 6 months:(???
It's gotten to the point were I'm at my Witt's end.I've suffered with psoriasis for 7 years now and it's just got progressively worse to the point of covering around 75% of my body. I've been on every other treatment recommend but either they only work to a certain extent or it reappears somewhere else on my body and the steroid treatments make it twice as bad when it comes back.
I've also tried alternative therapies but to no avail.
Does anyone have any recommendations or solutions as to having the consultation brought forward or some other treatment I could try?
Any info would be greatly appreciated thanks

Go back to GP and ask them to arrange a sooner appointment. It will mean GP phoning hospital/s and discussing your case with the dermatologists.
