    Hey,

Just moved into my new apartment in Dublin, and trying to transfer my Chorus account from Cork. In the meanwhile the tenant moving out has paid until the 9th of October, so no probs there.

Have had an issue though, no radio coming through, and no idea how to access it. The system is different to the one I had in Cork, its a bigger box, more like a DVD player in size/shape.

Also don't have any volume controls through the UPC remote, which is a pain. Using it on a Mitsubishi tv, which I just got second hand, so don't know how to set it as a universal.

Also in relation to DVR, is this a different type of box that gets set to you/installed or what? Might be interested.

Thanks to anyone who can help me out,
    Steve

That may be a DVR. :)

The remote can be used to change the volume on the TV. Settings are in the manual http://www.upc.ie/pdf/DVRManual.pdf

Those instructions will probably work even if it's not the DVR.

Thanks Paul, I have sorted my remote and radio issues.

Is there any way to tell if its a DVR. I have pressed the pause button, but nothing happens. Maybe there is something else I should have set up?

That's a pretty good way of telling in itself. However, go the following link
http://www.upc.ie/service/?cid=124&aid=94 and eyeball the boxes. If yours is the second last one, it's a DVR and recording/pause buttons should work. If it's the last one, it's a Pace box and recording/pause buttons should have no effect.

Its always a good idea to start afresh with UPC, you get better deals/ introductory offers that way.
