I have some rope I could sell you if you are in dublin.

I could probably do 10-12ft for €20, and would duct tape the bottom end and put some thinner rope in a loop with clamps on the top for attaching to things.

It is usually quite expensive, I got a fair bit on ebay.

Mine was quoted as 40mm, but measured 38mm, but when fully taut it is thinner, could be down to 1 1/4"/32mm. I have still yet to use it much, I can do 20chins and a single chin with 50kg on a belt, so I had visions of myself flying up and down the rope. How wrong was I! rope climbing is a savage workout, I expect once I am more used to employing all the muscles involved I will improve. Even just pulling on it is a good workout, it is a tiny bit elastic so like using bands a bit. I plan on making 2 little short bits to hang from my chinning bar for pullups.

The head guy Coach Sommer at www.gymnasticbodies.com lists it in his top 5 bodyweight exercises

I had sent a mail but got no repsonse, and had not been using my rope so it was not on my mind. Maybe mine got kicked to your spam, or vice versa. I will find & forward my last mail again.
