I have medium length hair and i've always used head and shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo without a conditioner. I've moved into new college accomodation and the water out of the shower is hard and it's not doing my hair any good, it looks flat and lifeless and its hard to control. are there any products I can used to counteract this? I doubt the landlords are going to treat the water for one person out of a few thousand!

It's expensive, but Kerastese conditioner is like magic. You can buy it in a lot of good hairdressers, Peter Mark included. If you can't afford thirty euro a tub (which is fairly scandalous I agree), I always find Clean by Neutrogena very good, and the conditioners by Herbal Essences very good as well. They'll all add shine, and do anti-dandruff ones I'm sure.

Sunsilk do a good cheap range of serums if your hair is hard to control, but the best best best on the market is John Frieda's FrizzEase, all of which you can get from Boots. Just stick the serum in towel dry hair, or if you straighten your hair, you can put a tiny pump of it on after that. It makes a big difference!
