Thailand - recommendations for tailor-made suit

    Hello,

Off to Thailand for 2 weeks soon, and then moving to Australia to start my career :/ Anyway i was wondering if any of you could recommend a good tailor - My neighbour told me not to get it made in Bangkok, but to go somewhere a few miles outside the city (forget where, must ask him again). He said that the bangkok tailors tend to rip-off tourists?
Also, any advice on what materials I should be looking at? - I have to say i am quite clueless here :/ I'm willing to spend up to ~300euro, and want to get one that looks the business!

Also, I'm traveling to Thailand very light (packing only for Thailand) and will be looking to buy all of my clothes for Australia while in Thailand. Where are the best places to shop here?

    Cheers

Hmm, don't worry, they'll find you!

Am just back/ from Bangkok, got a suit made up i a place called Nice Fashion, the address is 719/10 Banthadthong Rd, Chula Soi 10, Wangmai, Pathumwan. I think that your chances of finding a taxi driver who can understand that adress is 50/50 at best though. I guess if you are discerning and perhaps avoid places around the Kho San Road you'll be alright.

That depends - I've been back to A.R. Mani (don't laugh) which is at the top of the Khao San Rd (not the Burger King end), opposite Gullivers twice now and me and my friends all got great suits for about 70 euro every time.
