Ebay is definitly the way to go. They are much cheaper. Pity the little plastic stand isn't with the Touch anymore. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Touch Mactard when you get it.

iTouch is a Logitech poduct that hasn't been sold since 1998, you might find it hard to buy it in a shop these days.

September 20th will be the day most shops will have stock to answer your question

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,361 ✭✭✭VonLuck

I was in Dublin today and was searching everywhere in the hopes that some shop might have it.

Half of them didn't know there was a 2nd generation ipod Touch.

Carphone warehouse don't know when they are getting them.

O2 don't know if they are even getting them.

The Spectra shop beside the Molly Malone statue said they were expecting them on Saturday but still haven't got them.

However, HMV on Henry street have them, but only the 8gb version.

HMV on Grafton street have the 16gb version. Although I'm not sure how reliable that is because the guy I asked also said Apple aren't making 32gb ipod Touch's anymore...

I ordered from the Apple store last Thursday, UPS delivered today. If possible consider that option, I was very impressed with the speed of delivery. The new iTouch is great

Is 32GB, the largest storage capacity for the itouch, any rumours of a larger one coming out. Was thinking of getting the classic for the larger storage, why can the new i pod touch not come in 60GB or something like that

Yes 32gb is the largest so far, this is because the touch uses flash memory which is very expensive at high capacities, the classic uses HDD memory which is much cheaper but far less reliable.

Mactard how much would you be looking for your old Ipod Touch? What size is it?

the GTS world racing is unreal, when using the accellerometer
but the cream of the games is holdem poker produced by apple themselves..its a 129Mb download and features video of real players embedded in the game. Check out the gameplay on youtube!!

Well, I've had the new touch for a few days now... the built in speaker is mighty handy and the volume rocker, the design tweaks also make the new touch look much more elegant than the mrk1. However, the display on my mrk1 touch is much better than the mrk2. The mrk2 is brighter but more washed out, whereas the mrk1 appears darker, richer and has better contrast...they both have rather meh screens compared to other big PMP's but that's the sacrifice you pay by cutting prices.

I heard it has the 3G iPhone screen (has a tint of yellow) while the 1G Touch has a blueish tint. Alot of reviews are saying how thin it is but its barely thinner than the 1G. I still think its the best PMP on the market. Cheers for posting that.

Yes, the curve is very deceptive...it looks and feels thinner than the mrk1 but logically I know it's not really.

    Any questions, just ask

I maybe interested in the 32GB Touch your selling, as long as its for the right price;) 8GB isn't doing it for me.

I'm quite flexible on the price, especially if it'll be going to a member here. :)

guys, all talk about the sale of Mactard's Ipod Touch is not for here.

Mactard posted a link to his advert on adverts.ie, adverts.ie has a post feature much like here, please use it if you want to ask a question about it.

any more talk about his advert on here and i'm afraid it is a one week ban.

continue talking about where to get the ipod touch.

Was in HMV on Grafton Street, 3G in Dundrum and Stephens Green, Currys in Carrickmines all within last 48 hours. HMV have the 8GB version. Sold out everywhere else. If anyone has seen them in stock anywhere recently in Dublin centre or South, you might post.

    You mean 3G stores?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,895 ✭✭✭matchthis

Argos seem to be doing them, so a handy place to check. Prices seem to be cheaper than i thought they would be. Usually $399 on apple.com is €399 here.

Pretty sure they had them in the 3g store in dundrum. They were advertising the 32gb one for 369, same as the apple store online.

Mine arrived last week and it's a fantastic device.
