Far from being a fan of the firm but the special announced by Hacketts today is a fairly decent offer. They will refund all losing bets on the Ryder Cup if the event finishes in a tie (up to a max of €300) I know its a 10/1 shot so its not that likely but it just helps remove the draw element on the bet if you are betting either side to win outright.

It's a decent offer in fairness to them. They have priced up the market to reflect the MBS though. They go 5/6 Europe and 6/5 USA so you are betting to a margin of 100% - that is, the bookie are taking no margin and have no edge to cushion them.

10s are normally the odds on the tie for the Ryder Cup.

This year however I think the match will be much closer than the last few encounters and a tie at 10s is interesting....
