What's a wii worth on Trade in?

    Long story short - Car needs urgent repair and as far as assets are concerned, the Wii is the most surplus to requirements at the moment. Car needed for work, Wii not.

    What can I expect as a trade in price in say XV or Gamestop for a boxed console with Wii sports 1x wiimote , 1 x Nunchuck and the boxed Guitar hero III thingy with the plastic Les paul?

    I appreciate that I'd probably get more sticking it on Adverts or Gumtree, but this is time sensitive, so it's a 'cash immediately' scenario and the trade in is my only option.

    Any advice before I hit the high street in the mid morning would be appreciated.

    Try calling them first, Leaderbored. Ring Game, ring Gamestop... see what they offer and go to the best one.

    Ta. Just back from doing that. Hard to get an answer before 10 in any shop nowadays, ain't it?

    Xv dont trade consoles, and Gamestop are a tenner ahead of Game on a cash trade, but game are considerably higher on a store credit trade, and the prices are centralised, so there's no discretionary fluctuations.

    Cool... so just out of curiousity, what did they offer you for a Wii and Guitar Hero? I expect its quite a bit under retail (and quite a bit less than you'd get from adverts.ie)

    Even if you need the money today I suggest putting it up on adverts for a few euro more than the shops are offering you, you might make a quick sale and it would be nicer to give someone a bargain than give a shop a profit. And if it doesn't sell before you need it to, then you can still give to Gamestop.

    But good luck with your car anyway!

    Was going to post this, mad not to at least try sell it on Adverts. I got 200 euro for my premium when I traded it in but can't believe how badly I ripped off on a few games I traded in with it.

    Never going to trade in a game again.

    The console was going under anyway which is why I traded that in.

    Great trade in deal on the way in gamestop, an Xbox360 Arcade for around 60 blips when you trade in your Wii, a very nice exchange for those tiring of minigames and needing some space marine therapy!
    Keep an eye out!
