Hi, a friend of mine is building up a fashion photography portfolio (she's a student photographer) and she's asked me to style her first shoot. Now, I swear by Topshop, I'm a total whore for that place, but obviously the photoshoot is on a budget cos we're students! Anyone know of any cheap (maybe second hand/vintage) stores that sells the kind of stuff that's in TopShop, except they're genuine vintage (therefore cheap!?) Dublin area! Any help appreciated.

i wear a lot of vintage stuff, mostly from ebay though. but you can get some really good bargains and they are more than likely sent out really quickly by the sellers. you could ask the seller to send them asap as you need them for the shoot!

if not i'd just try every charity shop in dublin, i think its oxfam that are doing a vintage range (which is meant to be nice) but i've never tried it, i stick to the net.

    good luck :)

There's also Harlequin on Castle Market, Dublin 2 and Jenny Vander on Drury Street, D2.

However, I'm afraid that if you think that vintage = cheap that you'll be very disappointed. Your best bet is probably Eager Beaver in Temple Bar.

yeah, Gyalist is right about the price.

but if you can give yourself a week you will pick up bargains on ebay!

If its for a fashion shoot how about buying them hiding lables and returning them as long as your not planning to mutilate them should be ok.
