Dont forget that the cost of living is more in Dublin

    1. Rent
    2. Social life(gym, drinks, food)

Basically that extra 3.5k won't cover your expenses!

What industry are you talking about? For example trainee accountants generally start on less than banking grads.

€25k isn't bad at all, especially for Galway and especially if you are on a good progression scale. Used to work in HR for a fund accounting company in Dublin and their starting salary for all grads was €25k.

If it cheers you up - I came to Dublin about 4 years ago after completing my Comm degree and started on a salary of €17k!!!

yeah i think thats fine for Galway. you will always get more in Dublin but pay more for everthing too. Personally, i prefer Galway.

yeah that seems very good for a commerce graduate, its certainly the average in Dublin at the moment, so to get it in Galway is nice. You would probably have an adjusted earnings higher that those on €28-30 in Dublin tbh.

Sounds like you have a decent wage, especially for non-Dublin, but you really need to say what it is you do.
