Any recommendations for a facial tan...one that won't block pores. I love waking up and putting on minimal make-up. I usually use dove for the rest of my body but don't thinktheir face tan is great. Thanks :)

Hi, there is a fake bake one for face, it is very good and doesnt block your pores, although like most tans for your face if you have any spots or anything it can make these look darker.

god, i've been through so many. i'm like yourself. i actually wear no make-up except when i'm heading out on the piss etc. however i can't live without facial tanning moisturisers. the one's i have used have always been very light. for example, oil of olay spf 15 which i use at the moment. white bottle, blue top. clarins do a lovely one: self tanning radiance plus or something like that. white slim bottle, for face only. l'oreal also do one. it brought me out a bit browner than the others which i quite liked but it's consistency is quite greasy. you could always go for the johnson's facial moisturiser. that seems grand but i never used for any length of time to give a proper opinion on it. i hate self tanners that come out brown. they bring me out in spots. always go for white moisturisers. i'm sure you're aware of this already.

I'd really recommend St tropez mousse. It has this blacky/browney colour when its going on, meant to be a colour guide but tan turns out nothing like this. I love using this cause then i only need a bit of mascara and gloss and away i go. Lasts for days but it does tend to highlight any spots or scars you may have.

I love this stuff and my skin feels lovely after it. It also lasts ages, I have mine about a year and I still have loads left. I use it twice a week maybe?

I agree - i havent actually used this on my face but got my hair done last week and my hairdresser had it on and it looked like she had makeup on - looked great! I use it a fair bit on my body and it's brill - have a wedding Thursday and I'm gonna use it for that too:D

After buying every single facial fake-tanner ever created I finally discovered that mixing St. Tropez lotion mixed in with my normal Clarins moisturiser (a beautician did mention to me that it might not come out well with all moisturisers). I've sensitive skin and every other one I've tried has given me spots after a few uses. Sticking to the St. Tropez now, just mix it in once or twice a week.

I def would not recommend any Nivea self tanning products for the face! They don't blend in well and after beginning to use them I had 3 different people ask me was I unwell as I was an awful colour! :p

+1 lOREAL Sublime Bronze- but the gel, not the tinted cream gel. The gel is oil free so won't block pores and because it's tinted you can see if it's going on evenly.

Benefit Talk to the Tan is great too- it's especially for the face and is really light, even if just mixed with your normal facial moisturiser :)

clarins aftersun with self tanning action is great for fairer skin as it darkens with more than one layer and its a good moisturiser too.if you out it on before bed you can see good results in the morning

i tend to get blocked pores from a lot of products but never had a problem with this.:)

I'm another one for the loreal sublime gel. I swear by it. They've also started making one specifically for the face. It's a canister with one side moisturizer and the other side tan. I also find it brill.

Last time i used fake tan on my face the following morning it was so streaky and patchy and white racoon eyes!

It wasn;t a cheap make too i think it was l oreal - what did i do wrong or should i try the face mist spray? That doesnt need to be rubbed in i think?

I just bought the fake bake for face...I thought someone had suggested it, but they didn't. I must have got mixed up with somebody else's thread about general tan! Anyway, I hope it's ok, as no one has suggested their facial tan. I'll give my verdict soon :) Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I might be back to this thread next week if this doesn't work out!

I quite like Fake Bake airbrush for my face. Just put it on last night! :)

Ok, I bought the l'oreal gel while I was waiting for the fake bake stuff to come from ebay, and I really liked the colour it gave me on my face, but maybe a bit drying... but definitely better than anything I've tried before on my face. It doesn't say that it's non - comedogenic though, but it certainly didn't clog my pores, and didn't cause any breakouts, so I'd say it's definitely going to be a regular feature on my shelf (along side many many many bottles of half-used tans...) But I'm really glad that was recommended, because it's so cheap!

I ordered fake bake for face and fake bake air-brush on ebay and I just noticed that the airbrush one is non - comedogenic, so it's suitable for your face, and I think Pythia recommended that type of fake bake for face, so I'm going to give it a try. But I also ordered the fake bake one that's specifically for faces (I ordered the two so I'd be the same colour all over :D) and I noticed it doesn't say it's non - comedogenic. Isn't that strange, or am I missing something? Surely the one that's specifically for faces shouldn't clog pores? However, it does seem to have anti-wrinkle stuff in it, which sounds good. I've already applied my tan for the weekend, but I'll be trying all this new stuff in the coming week.

Anyways, thanks again for all the recommendations. Ever since I discovered this forum I'm spending way too much time in BTs!!
