I'm in the same boat and looking at Sicily...should be about 20 degrees on the good days.

We were in Sardinia in July and loved it. Ryanair fly to Alghero and have a seat sale on at the moment so you might be able to pick up something cheap.

The weather is meant to be still quite nice and warm in October.

october is always going to be pot luck with the weather in europe. it could be lovely and warm or cold and wet. why not try slightly further afield like north africa or madeira, or dubai?

have heard croatia to be a great spot for weather. The irish team are in montenegro at the moment and apparently its 40+ degrees there. That hot enough for ya!

You also have the fairly reliable canaries.Islands closer to Africa and sheltered by the other islands from the atlantic are prob best bet

Egypt will still be warm. I'm heading in a few weeks and the missus is heading again in mid October and expecting it to be very warm.
4* hotel B&B for a week for under €500 is pretty good imo.
