How to infect a virtual machine

So I installed virtualbox and have a virtual vista install, how do I go about getting infected, out of curiosity, is there a list somewhere of bad websites ?

There are lists of malware sites, and all the different infections out there. However unless you are a part of the anti-malware community, you wont have access to them.

Best bet would be to download cracks and keygens from google/limewire/etc

why is there so much porn advertising on crack/keygen pages, wtf have cracks got to do with porn, you may as well have porn advertisements on a golf site

They are linked that is why

Some kid will click on the porn links, it will bring him to some page where a video is but it will ask him to install a codec to see the porn

He installs it, has Smitfraud

Use the MVPS host file to give you an endless list of malware sites

Open the ''HOSTS'' file with notepad
If you have it installed just delete the line that contains the site you want to visit
Then run the ''mvps.bat'' file

This will allow you to visit the site if it is blocked

I presume you know where to download this file

Yep, visiting those kinds of sites and clicking on stuff without any sort of protection is a great way to get infected.

Just google something like "[name of program] serial keygen crack," where "name of program" is, I know this is a stretch, the name of a popular program.

Start clicking around the site and let the good times roll.

Install Limewire and setup a user account on the PC for your younger brother/sister. Leave for a week, or until the scream "I HAS A VIRUSS!"

Because by then, they probably have more than one

That is in fact one of the easiest ways to infect a windows computer, especially one that is not updated as might be the case with MooseJam's installation.

I picked up a few infections by searching for free mp3 's and cracks and stuff like that, I got that buy me now fake anti-virus from the link provided by numbnuts, explorer is crashing every 10-15 seconds , windows explorer that is not internet explorer, cmd windows pop up every few seconds and AVG is having a fit lol, internet explorer homepage has been replaced with a buy me now crap, lot's of popups
