I am still waiting nearly 2 months after leaving my last job and I know myself that once anyone leaves they really don't give a damn whatsoever.

is there someone I can go to that will make them get their act together?

After hours is the wrong place for this!!

AFAIK, an employer has to legally supply you with a P45 withink 6 weeks of leaving your last job. My last place did this. So I just got onto them and said that they have now exceeded the 6 week period and I have been advised to contact my solicitor by the Revenue. Cue a phone call back half an hour saying they had already sent it but I mist never have gotten it. Got it 3 days later! :D

Or, get your new employer to fill in a P46

Agreed, should be in Employment forum, but he can't refuse. I'd imagine if they're making it hard for you, they probably weren't paying your tax.
    Tax office straight away.

I'm hearing about this happening lots recently in ireland.

It happened to my sister. Couldn't get one from her previous part-time job, depite calling them every week for weeks.

Luckily, she's doing her law apprenticeship, so the firm wrote a solicitor's letter to her old company, and it turned up very quickly.

simple... contact the revenue commissioner and explain whats going on...then they'll ring your employer and politely ask for your p45...If still not forthcoming good ol' revenue will audit your previous employers arse back into the last century.
