Looking for one of them booklets that you collect the euro coins in, from each country in the euro. Where can i get one that is up to date and maybe shows a picture of each coin needed?

Heres my own one, filled up now with a while, this one was done when the euro coins first came in,of course now theres more member states plus as you probarly know already you could go down the road and collect the Vatican,Monaco and San Marino sets also,I never bothered myself to be honest,it took so long to do the main ones, also if you haven't collected the full set yet the Finish 1 and 2 cent are no longer in use in Finland and are best bought off the likes of Ebay,I've also added a photo of a couple of coin variants, best of luck anyway in your search

    Nice collection, arnhem44.
Does anyone know where you can buy a 'note' book? I have some old banknotes and it would be good to have somewhere nice to keep them.. Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi Caderyn,I've seen A4 sheets on Ebay for banknotes, these have three pockets per page and can be stored in a folder, also they have note book versions but don't look that good to be honest,I have a few old russian and Irish notes myself that need something to protect them,if you find anything please let us know;)

You're better off buying a coin album for Euro coins. Those folders only hold the first 12 Eurozone countries. Theres new countries joining all the time, since then theres been Slovenia, Cyprus, Malta and Slovakia is joining in Jan. Apart from all that you've got all the commemorative 2 Euro coins and various different mint marks, Independent states etc. The list never ends so no point limiting yourself.

Depends exactly what you want. Remember some countries started back in '99 where we only started from 2002. This is why in jan/feb every country is bringing out a commemorative 2 euro to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Euro. Really it depends how deep you want to get into it before you can choose what direction to go in. I mean you can swap circulated and uncirculated coins with people from all over europe on places like euroswapper.com or you could just buy uncirculated coins online of whatever years you want. Certain years will be more expensive than others. It won't be easy to get absolutely everything you want from one dealer but I generally try to buy as much as I can from each one to save on postage. I've lots of contacts in this area but it depends what you want.

I wouldn't bother with ebay as you can get a much better deal from European dealers when you go directly to them and pay by bank transfer. Worth it if you're buying a lot of stuff, you can generally get as much as you want for a max of 20 euro insured DHL.

I like the Optima Classic range. There's a large one which takes more sheets or a smaller one. I think here they call the big one the Optima classic grande. One of the dealers in the Georges arcade sells them, though you'd probably want to ring him before hand to check stock. If you need his number, PM me. You can put anything in these, postcards, stamps, coins etc. or a mixture. It's just a case of buying the different sheets.

You reminded me that I need to buy some too. The coin fair is on at the RDS this weekend, Fri - Sun. There's usually a couple of dealers there that have them so you can get a good look at them.
