Rte are controlled by a rare form of genius

Racing today off so they have to put on something else
They show "The Great Race" a very enjoyable film, problem is the film is longer than the scheduled racing program SO 20 mins or so before the film ends they stop to cut away to the football

WHY not show something that fitted the gap, must have had some old sports coverage or the likes floating about?

Would say must do better, but i doubt they can
    tut tut
Was looking forward to the pie fight:(

That is shocking in all fairness.

That's scandalous. How could anyone do that?

One in a long litany of scheduling errors from this frankly amateurish department in Montrose over the years...be it sticking the 9 news on at random minutes past the hour to suit preceding programmes, , sh*tty cut ins/outs to/from ad breaks, cutting up films to go to news, breaks in continuity to seasons of shows/showing wrong episodes. Nothing surprises me anymore. I don't know if it's pure laziness or sheer inpetitude or a mix of both...but it's consistent in it's delivery.
It leaves a bad taste in my mouth that the people who work in this job are probably on a very good salary, seemingly answer to no-one and are particularly abyssmal at their job, but probably won't be fired...and that Joe Public gets to pay for a second rate service...

Yeah, that drives me nuts! How come every other channel in the universe can time their start times to schedule but yet RTE are constantly a couple of minutes past the start time? Here is the 9 o'clock news at 9:03.

Agreed. I'm sure there are plenty of qualified budding talented people in Ireland who could be much better at the job.
