    The 2nd Scanbitz Short Film Challenge.

    Clones Film Festival 2008 in association with Scanbitz have launched the second Scanbitz Short Film Challenge. The challenge invites experienced filmmakers, writer and crew to script, prep, scout locations, cast, rehearse, film, edit and present a finished short film in just three days.

    The Nitty Gritties.
    Each team will be given a budget of €500 to cover all expenses - petrol, phones, art dept, photo-copying, costumes, make-up, catering, etc. Accommodation is not provided, though festival organizers will provide assistance with accommodation seeking if necessary. Clones Film Festival will provide a production base, and a runner. The rest: location permissions, cast, props etc is up to you. Clones Film Festival will provide a production assistant who will liase with the teams and act in an advisory capacity.

    How To Take Part.
    Interested production teams are invited to submit a short detailed proposal of the film they wis h to make (max 200 words). Films can be any genre - drama, documentary, stop-motion animation, though it must be feasible to shoot in one day with a skeleton crew. Feasibility will be taken into account when proposals are judged.
    Films can be as long or as short as you like though they MUST be completed over the weekend (Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October) Deadline for receipt of finished films is 2pm on Sunday 26th October. All filmmakers must be able to attend the 'Francies' award ceremony on the closing night of the festival on the Sunday 26th October.

    Deadline for entries is October 3rd, 2008 and entries and proposals must be submitted by e-mail. Submissions will be acknowledged within 24 hours.
    Send your proposal, team name and C.V. or credits of your proposed project’s Director/Producer, Camera Operator, Editor and any other key crew to info@clonesfilmfestival.com.
