a gorgeous laptop bag for college? I'm looking for one that'll store my laptop, but look nice enough to be a trendy handbag (maybe a compartmented slouchy worn leather one). Over the shoulder preferably!

I've had a look online and all the cases I've found are so... clinical.

Had a quick look there, only saw one or two I like and they were both to the tune of €250... eeek.

I suppose I'm looking for more of a fashion slouchy over the shoulder bag that happens to have a laptop sized compartment in it...

Have bought from these guys before and delivery is about 3-5 days. Cheap too.

Remember the point of the bag though, its not a fashion statement its supposed to provide safe housing for your laptop!.

Thanks a mil. I think what I'm going to do is buy a sleeve from these guys and put the sleeved laptop in an over the shoulder bag I have!

    :D

Yeah that will work, I would definitely recommend getting a plastic hard case shell for it instead of a sleeve!. They come in loads of colours and protect the laptop from spillages and scratches. They look pretty cool too...

Heres one from the Apple Store, though you can get them cheaper on Ebay.

Actually they look great! the only thing I'm worried about is the ports being exposed, and the bits and bobs that generally rattle around my bag making their way in... although I'd say there's a way to close them off.

Theres no port protection with the hardshell cases unfortunately. You would have to have something pretty small to get jammed in the ports though so I wouldn't worry too much about it. What the hell do you be carrying in your bag!!.

I got a hardshell and they are great and the bag I got is like a small rucksack, but in the centre there is also a detachable sleeve for the laptop. Would definitely recommend one. It has oogles of space for books and everything else too..

Again you can get cheaper around the net. Think I got mine at mymemory.co.uk or something. Not extremely fashionable though you could make up for that with a girlie pink Hardshell cover...:D

    Hey there!
I actually just bought a stylish laptop bag by Liz Claiborne. She does a good range of them and they are about $60-70 so its not too pricey. Try this site..www.bestbuy.com or just goolge Liz Claiborne and laptop bags.

I was in H&M in Dundrum last week and they had a laptop case for sale. Black imitation snake skin style, might not be the safest as was said above but it looks quite snazzy and girly.

although i prefer having a sleeve for my macbook and putting it inside an ordinary bag because i can tell a laptop bag from a mile away and if i can do that then surely a thief will be able to do the same.
