Triple Crown Win for Ireland - Yet Another Win!!

The Irish team beat England today to win the triple crown in the Home Championship.

That's a triple crown and another win - they won the European Team Championship in July (and last year too I think).

The Boys won the Home Championship too last month and the Seniors won the European Seniors at Shannon.

Add into that, Harrington winning two majors, McDowell winning twice, Clarke winning twice, McGrane and Lawrie both winning - it's been a bloody good year so far.

A young fella from Lucan played on that Irish Boys team - Richard O'Donovan. He then went onto win the Waterford Senior Scratch Cup last Sunday with +2 over total of 286. He's 17 and plays off scratch.

On the international front, it's certainly a great time for Irish golf as we should have had 3 players on the Ryder Cup, there have been multiple Irish winners on the European tour, and McIlroy and Lawrie are continuing that form with good showings in the European Masters this weekend, so far.
