I've ordered almost exactly the same one (with 4gb RAM :D) and all I heard about it was positive really.

You'll be waiting a long time though... I ordered 2 weeks ago and it's still in "Pre-Production"...

Some amazing bargains to be had on it. Wouldn't recommend the studios as gaming machines though, maybe the 17 inch with the 3650 but they're still not great.

    Hey everyone,

Just wondering (I don't have a clue bout these things!) what is the difference between dell inspiron and the studio 15.

I need a laptop for word/excel/powerpoint, music & pictures, internet/msn/skype - general college stuff really - also good battery is important.

I was going to get an inspiron a few months ago but never got round to it, now I'm heading back to college an have looked again and these studio 15 have appeared. I have read the reviews & people seem to think they are great.

    Any opinions, ideas, offers?

    Much appreciated.

What do you think should i go ahead with the purchase. I am a fourth year computing student and so will need that kind of hard drive capacity and spec or should i wait. I have looked in pc world there was no 15.4 inch laptop with that kind of spec at that price. Would it be a good laptop if i decide i want to do post graduate study

Did you think about the xps m1530

Very stylish and I think a very good machine, can get it reasonably cheap too

I'd hold off on the XPS 1530, they're due to be replaced by the Dell XPS 16 by November. Furthermore, the 1530 in my experience (typing on one now) tends to be a bit contrary.
