You are better off ordering stuff online, really it is cheaper and there are many many more brands and reviews out there for everything. There is no such thing as cheap GOOD quality supplements in Ireland. Maximuscle is good but pricey.

I get my stuff off the www.bodybuilding.com superstore or www.monstersupplements.com

I think there's a few people who'd beg to differ on that :)

    www.nutritionx.ie
    www.thesupplementfactory.com

For shops you can try the Supplement Store on Camden Street, or Universal Nutrition in Dun Laoghaire

Okay, I take that back, that universal nutrition is intriquing (and closer to home:D  but bbuilding.com is still cheaper.

Check out the prices of the Supplement Factory, you'll be very hard pushed to find better value anywhere else ;)

Personally I really like all the whey I've tried from there (I haven't tried any other products) but as you know everyone will have their own preferences. Everyone told me for months that ON chocolate whey was the dog's dangly bits taste-wise but when I tried it I imagine that baby sick would be more pleasing to the palate. One thing I have noticed about SF whey is that it can be a little on the sweet side, but I have a major sweet tooth anyway and it suits me fine.

The company is still quite new but the guys behind it know what they're doing and so far it all looks great. There's a big thread about it here.

It'd be wrong of me not to mention my old haunt :)

If your looking for good supps but most importantly, good advice, Pro Nutrition is a great place. They have Tom Staunton working there now and any one who knows Tom can vouch for him as a top class bloke with a wealth of experience and most importantly he won't sell you crap. I was there yesterday, he's the type of guy you could spend all day talking to about diet and fitness. PN are now stocking all the BSN range (no mr IMB not what you think :p) as well as ON, Olimp and the favourite NutritionX.

    Tom is one reason to shop at Pro Nutrition;

My memory MAY be playing tricks on me but I think he took second overall at last year's Irish NABBA's too?

EDIT: Jon, I heard Powerhouse is closing/closed down???

First at all was wirted that thread to check out what do ya think around about supplements sources.Seems to be not too many of them on market.
Reason is like small market analyse, but thinking about opening a shop with supplements and healthy food in one.Was checked prices around, and to make clear internet sources could be cheap, but wating time for parcel is deadly and everything comes to one with prices on domestic market. Now trying to find wholesalers around europe to get best prices for sale.My offer will be cover stuff like fat loss, womens supplements, proteins, creatins, carbos, aminoacids and similiar, then will talk to healty food distributors over here to get some good stuff to fill up the rest of the shop.

Bit scared at all but this country seems to be starting with all that stuff like supplementation and starting story with gym, don't take it personally but had look around and seems to be like i said.

Maybe my brain is broken, but... huh??

    EDIT: Sorry... just got it.

There's a lot of supplement shops, in addition to website retailers, around Dublin.

    Off the top of my head;
    Pronutrition.ie - Phibsboro
The Supplement Store - Camden Street
    Nutrition Connection - Capel Street
The Vitamin Shop - Moore Street Mall
Sports Nutrition Ireland - The Square, Tallaght
    Universal Nutrition - Dun Laoighre
    VJ's Home Fitness - Blanchardstown

Then you've places like Health Matters, Hollands and Barrets, Natures Way etc etc all selling sports supplements too. There's A LOT of places in Dublin to get them.

Sorry, but go to those shop to see what they offer.Proabably vitamin shop is the best one at the moment.Know the guy whos workin over there, and they not so dear.Rest seems to be far.Anyway Dublin is capitol,so u gimme few examples but they're not mean to be kept in that close circle without anything new.
Most of the "irish shops" are selling stuff from uk and domestic, checked it and is really poor quality in deadly price.american stuff and rest from eastern europe seems to be really good and i'm using it for years between domestic supplementation over here without effects.
Shop on capel street got really small offer and prices are really old town-high,vj home doesn't have offer-just few products.Hevent met the rest but think are similiar.

We can close this discussion if ya like, will try to do on my own.Just wanted to know some opinions and ideas. That's it.

I'm probably the wrong person to talk to about this because I find the idea of people worrying about what supplements they use to be laughable anyway. Pronutrition stocks A LOT of Olimp products, all the BSN gear and a whole host of other stuff. The Supplement Store's the same. I can't speak for the rest since I don't know off the top of my head, but I think you're trying to sell us a problem that doesn't actually exist.

As for prices, have you done any research into rent, staff costs, insurance and the various other overheads associated with doing business in Dublin?? Unless you've ran the numbers you're not really in a position to say what is and isn't over priced in fairness.

    Ur mistake dude.

I'm not trying to sell any nonsense.Just wondering to know the opinions about new source which want to open and from ur poin of view have everything so don't need anything new, maybe cheaper or presenting a bigger offer or newer products.
About the Olimp..they're kina medium company with Dominator logo right know whos makin the money for them, quality is better than any uk stuff but prices sometimes can kill;BSN is a good stuff, but rest like an big offer seems to complete source.
Talkin about dymatize, optimum nutrition, syntrax, activita, nutrabolics and other manufacturers.See i like to present something kinda small amount but big offer in one small shop including stuff for womans but havent find anything like that till this time. They're more softy than us so i wouldn't sell any strong fat killer for them.Found special products directly for them to make customer happier also want to put some packed healthy food for other kinda peoples, not just bodybuilders, thinking about non-sugar diet, vegetarians etc.

Sorry if u think that i wanna continue kinda politcis just for one type of ppls.Everyone is different and may have other needings.

I've bought stuff in Universal Nutrition in Dun Laoghaire, Nutrition Connection in Capel Street, Vitamin Shop in the Moore Street Mall, the BB shop on Swords Main Street, Down to Earth on South Great Georges Street, occasionally in Holland & Barrett, a shop in Aungier Street (sorry, forget the name), and a couple of other places. If you know what you are after, and have an idea of price, you can generally get what you want.

Online, I tend to buy from 1fast400.com, or BB.com.
