We are also running a specific league for this tournament. Players will receive points for a cash relative to their finishing position. We will then have a major prize for the top 9 players to battle it out for in a tournament before Easter 2009.

Hope to see you all there again this Sunday. A conservative estimate would be 100 players. Its September though so it could be a lot more as people are back from holidays etc now.

This will be our fourth appearance at the Fairways....Our first day out got 137 runners in June. 125 in July and only 87 last month (August)......

I think the lower numbers in August would have been due to the fact it was the August bank holiday when almost everyone goes away on holidays.

I think we will get over the 100 mark tomorrow, players from all over have played and most of the time we get at least half a dozen first-time-to-a-live-poker-tournament players.

No bother at all.....If you are going to be any later than half an hour ring me; 0872424626

I am at the Champion Stakes today in Leopardstown, they re-scheduled it so Jeff is running the show. But I will pass on the message if needs be.

Late entries are allowed up to 2pm.

    Thanks,
    Stephen.

    Hi stephen,
    what were the numbers like?
I'll be at the Carlton one hundred

60 players of mixed abilities to say the least, the weatherman chopped it heads up, great round of each cash game aswell, reminded me of the old drogheda gjp game.

    Hi Smurph,

Only 59 runners yesterday.....We are going to have an open policy to send flyers and/or a personal letter to everyone on our database (in each particular area) in advance of every tournament from now on.....We just have to keep on promoting to see the numbers grow.

Getting really good feedback about Ennis this Sunday and I think we will get over 120 in Dublin on 21st Sept once promotion work starts this week.

Full results will be up later today.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

I would just like to say also that although I wasn't in Dundalk yesterday myself I have received three emails this morning telling me how well run the tournament was. Ditpoker was in charge for any of you that can believe it ....I was at Leopardstown for the Champion Stakes, which turned out to be an ok move on my part :)

How about a 5k guarantee on all the one hundred events? Should easily surpass that but would stop any chance of rot - good few mentions yesterday of how theres been a steady decrease, small guarantee should stop most from not bothering

I don't do guarantees :)....Hard enough to make money whilst running a free-roll for €10,500.

I agree with you but if you put a 50 player guarantee on a tournament that you're expecting 130 players for its a guarantee in name only, Stars and Celtic Poker Tour are the best examples of this working.

With that many going to turn up for the Carlton tournament, why not guarantee 10k

that would more or less guarantee a full room

The 2 people that were supposed to give me a ride to Dundalk let me down and i missed out, they were complaining about the 20% registration and i even offered to give them the 5 euros of difference if they would go but they are mean

I will make the Carlton tournament and I register in advance this time
