Just a quick moan about our welfare system. Does anyone know why they dont encourage small start up businesses but instead discourage it? For example , me , on welfare at the moment, was selfemployed last few years, paid tax, provided employment, went to wall few months ago ,treated like a criminal at the mo trying to get jobseekers allowance approved. Ok, if I found part time work (for someone else ) and declared it , deduct my welfare accordingly, everyone happy. BUT if I try and use my imagination and create or provide a service as a selfemployed individual ( of course at the start business would be small), I entitled to nothing. I would really like if someone from the dole can answer me this ( maybe there is an entitlement and I dont know about it , and this rant has made me look stupid )
