    interesting how the headline (shipping) conflicts with the text of the article (pre-order):

    "the N96, which is now available on Nokia’s website for pre-order – earlier than expected"

    It’s going to interesting to see how the N96 does. The old N95/8G was a big leap forward technology wise and has done very well for Nokia. But N96 doesn’t look like a big improvement and AFAIK its biggest new feature, DVB-H, is not going to work in Ireland any time soon. To make matters worse, it will lack some features of the cheaper soon to be released N85.

    I read something on the net this morning that indicated an October release for the N85, at €450

    read that it's shipping with bbc iplayer installed although I presume it won't work here in Ireland. Good for anyone in uk though

    got a sim free one of these and a few for a friend on the way later this week. Should be with me Monday or Tuesday.

    Seems to be a firmware update out for it already though which doesn't bode well...

    looks a very nice phone

    i dought the price on expansy right

    hopefully when it comes out it will be alot less than the n96
