Nikon D80 or D90?

    Hi all,

I recently set my heart on getting a Nikon D80 and got a price of £620 sterling for the body and the standard 18-130 mm lens.

Should I hold out for the new D90? I know the inclusion of camcorder features has irked the purists - or should I wait a while for the price of the existing D80 stock to fall?

    Thanks,

    DW.

If you really want Video then wait for the D90. If you don't then take advantage of the D80 price drop.

I would go for the D90 ,as the fact you are asking the question means you are thinking about it, and if you let you head rule, you will always hate the D80 a little for not been the D90. Follow your heart on this one. I did and am a happy little bunny with my D300, and 16-85 VR, pockets a little lighter but cannot stop smilling, except for the weather which has damped things a little

So has anyone heard anything about availability of the D90 yet?

Looks like its available! Just picked up one (with the 18-105 lens, body only not available for a month or so) from my local Best Buy here in the US. It wasn't on display in the shop but they had it in stock.

I'm now waiting for the battery to charge :)
