    Hi All,

This will be syndicated eventually but if you fancy catching this tonight on ITV Wales you can tune it in quite quickly on any Sky box. Will get it up on Poker/YouTube soon.

    From Press Release:

UK poker legend Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott is the star of a new five-part series “How to Become a Poker Millionaire” which premieres on ITV Wales this Thursday Sept. 4, 2008 at 10.35 p.m. The 30-minute shows take four losing poker players and gives them an intensive month of training by the Devilfish.

Each week one of Devilfish’s novices is eliminated and at the end of the series the winner receives a seat at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

The first show follows Devilfish as he meets the players and begins to put them through their paces. Throughout the series viewers will be treated to interviews with Devilfish’s friends — some of the top poker players in the world — who have won 34 WSOP bracelets and over $100 million dollars between them.

Ulliott, who has millions of dollars of tournament winnings under his own belt as well as WSOP and World Poker Tour titles to his name, said, “Poker players won’t have seen anything like this before. It was a real boot camp for the participants and I took no prisoners. There’s laughter and tears, good poker and bad poker, and viewers will get to learn many of the tricks of the high-stakes poker trade which took me years and a lot of money to learn.”
The series is produced by John Giwa-Amu and Caradog James of Red & Black Films who are building on their seven years industry experience and BAFTA success with one of the most innovative poker TV shows ever produced.

    Sky Digital Tuning Guide:

You can tune in the channel on any Sky box. Full instructions here:

Nah...he's from Hull but the production company is Welsh. i don't think the players/contestants are necessarily Welsh either.

It's great to see this sort of program coming out.
It can only be good for business, particularly with a title like that.

Hopefully it will get a wide distribution, and pre-12 midnight also....

yep, the lads really did an amazing job considering the budget they had. it's not too poker-heavy, fun and different, very mainstream appeal.

Egg russian roulette was good and also i liked:
"There probably wouldn't be a bear...."

    I lol'd

    Has potential,
won thing I laughed at was the egg test,
they topped up the tray each time to "keep it fair",
but the very fact that they top it up makes if completly unfair, the person going first is screwed, (if they didnt top it up it would be fair regardless)

I'll probably watch it again, but it would ant to get into bit of poker by ep 2 :D:D

This is on again tonight ya'll. Easiest to just paste press release:

Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliott’s “How to Become a Poker Millionaire” reality TV Show - episode three airs this week

Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott takes his losing players and exposes them to the demons of alcohol and ‘tilt’ as one is banished; Episode three airs this Thursday, Sept. 18 at 10.35 p.m. on ITV

It’s week three of the “How to Become a Poker Millionaire” challenge where UK poker legend Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott takes four losing poker players and tries to turn them into winners. But only one will survive and claim the World Series of Poker seat.

Last week the contestants played online for real cash for the first time. Devilfish introduced them to poker “tells” and one of the contestants struggled with the rules.

This week we see the contestants are now playing nine hours of online poker a week under the Devilfish’s watchful eye. We discover how going on ‘tilt’ can make players lose a fortune and how players can avoid it. Devilfish tries to prove how dangerous it is to play poker while drunk as the contestants drink and play under controlled supervision and one of the contestants is sent home for breaking the rules.

Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott is the star of the new five-part series “How to Become a Poker Millionaire” which airs each Thursday on ITV at 10.35 p.m. SKY viewers in the UK and Ireland can visit www.devilfishpokerschool.com for a simple guide to tuning their SKY box to receive ITV Wales. Fans can also watch online playback of the show at www.itvlocal.com/wales/programmes/.

The 30-minute shows take four losing poker players and gives them an intensive month of training by the Devilfish. Each week one of Devilfish’s novices is eliminated and at the end of the series the winner receives a seat at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
