To be honest these arent much more than holiday snaps, but ive used them to try out a some different processing styles.

Any comments on both the proccessing and photos are more than welcome.

I quite like the first shot, nice colours. Maybe crop some of the right out of the shot as that door/white takes away from it IMO.

The second shot doesn't do much for me as their doesn't seem to be much of a focal point. Third shot is a bit too dark and also needs to be turned a bit counter-clockwise as the buildings/walls aren't horizontal.

The last shot looks like you've taken the flag/wall out of one shot and thrown it in with a nicer sky. You probably did some selective colouring/levels/curves, maybe next time try a closer selection and less feather?

    Hope that helps :)

    Cheers kjt,

The last one is confusing me a little actually, ive not actually done any selective proccesses on it, instead i have used a couple of duplicate layers and played with the blending options.

Any ideas why this banding has appeared?

I like the colour and the leading path/line in number 1
very holiday snap (which isn't a bad thing)

2 didn't do anything for me, but had really nice colour etc

3- Love it, looks great, Like the composition, it gives me the 'What are the kids looking at' ... fab

4 - bad processing, really visible haloing around the flag and stones? What it HDR?

Cheers Hussey, Thats definetly what i was going for in the 3rd shot (that and it made me think of a Petit Filous Advert :D) although i can agree with kjt saying its maybe a little dark.

As for number 4, its not actually HDR, just a couple of duplicated layers combined...i think ill have another go at it tomorrow when i get them onto the PC rather than trying to edit on the laptop

I like number 1. Think it might look very well in black and white too..

I agree with most of the above comments,

1 - Nice picture, but im not sure B&W would work on it, it would loose most of the warmth and brightness that makes the picture, and it would just look like a dreary street. Nice picture though

2 - Nice coulors, green on the grey stone walls, but for me it feels a little bit cramped, or maybe that was what you where going for

3 - Love this picture, nice composition, its slightly untidy at the top of the photo , but thats the only negative thing i can say about it.

4 - nice idea, but processing obviously didn;t work out., but if you go back and start again with the original you could have a really nice one there.

All in all, some nice shots.
