Mugen from Samurai Champloo is one of my favourites. You don't realise how attached you've become to him until that scene in episode 14

Ah an obvious one I forgot. Love him. In the first ep when he says 'why, would you have shot me if I was a human' and maniacally laughs it's great.

Alucard is a great anti-hero. Would you consider Lulouch/Zero from Code Geass an anti-hero? He is a great character too.

Quite fond of Saito Hajime from R. Kenshin (i can never spell it properly). I like his mantra of "kill all evil" and how he makes fun of Sanosuke.

Alucard and Guts would be up there too.

How about Lucy from Elfen Lied?

    Drav!

Will have to go with Mugen. Definitely one of the best anti-heros ever. Has the whole attitude but it's not cliched or cheesy at all. His fighting style is also one of the best I've seen in a while.

Off topic mayhaps but Elfen Lied was just amazing.

And I'm not sure if she would be in the running but she was definately a brilliant character.

Not sure if I'd really consider Lucy to an anti-hero, but then I wouldn't consider her to be a villain either. Bit of a confusing one...
Absolutely fantastic show, tempted to watch it for the third time now!

    Oh must watch that so.

    Oh must watch that so.

yeah highly recommend it. Its a very serious anime that is engrossed with houmour and plenty of gore.

There's alot of twists to Lucy also... which is why i'd consider her to be an anti hero. Through out the series she's seen as been a bit mad to say the least and it pushes mainly between 2 extremes in her erm... mindset, either incredibly violent or increbilbly reclusive, but mainly when violent acting of her own accord.

Won't say much more then that to avoid being a spoiler.

    Drav!

Clare from Claymore is a good one maybe, and maybe Faye from Cowboy Bebop? I was gonna say Lucy from Elfin Lied but she's covered!

I would also like to say Zero from Code Geass and Id say that Lucy could be considered an anti-hero.
