Online Radio Stations - Your Opinion

Just would like to know what your opinions are regarding listening to radio stations online. What is your favourite station(s) worldwide? Also what your tastes in music are and do you need to search online because of a lack of airplay in Ireland? Do you listen at home and/or at work?

I love Metal and Rock and as a result listen to the following radio stations:

    http://www.snakenetmetalradio.com/default.asp (US)
    http://www.knac.com/ (US)
    http://www.phantom.ie/ (Ireland)
    http://www.kerrangradio.co.uk/ (UK)

My only peeve with the US and UK stations is the amount of constant advertising, it's unreal. It comes to a point where I can memorise the adverts, it's that bad. Other than that I enjoy listening to them, although Kerrang has slipped down the pecking order as of late.

Dont know if you've heard on www.Pandora.com. I really like it.

What happens is you enter the name of a band/song you like at the start and it creates a 'channel' that plays this kind of music. For instance - i stuck in the Beatles (original i know!) and it plays loads of different music that is similar eg: stones, who, etc, etc.

It's really good, and throws up some songs that you may not have heard before. If you dont like a particular song/band then you can either skip it, or set it so they dont get played again. And you can create as many channels as you want.

It's also free:) I cant recommend it enough,

Unfortunately Pandora.com does not work for those of us not in the US, due to licensing issues.

I've used Pandora in the past with the help of a certain tv programme title but found it a bit repetitve, they clearly altered the site sotware since!

DenMan you might want to check out Zenith Classic Rock which is here
