Eh, saw a few of the episodes on telly when I was younger. Wouldn't call myself a fan though.

Used to love the show when I was younger although the only thing I remember is the title song and sequence. They actually could play their instruments AFAIK, but they just weren't allowed to.

Neil Diamond wrote a few of their songs. Does that make things better or worse?:D

I loved the show when I was a kid, it was kind of nutty.

I saw some episodes, its wasn't the worst show ever... My mates nickname is Monkee... his real name is Mikey Dolan.

I'm pretty sure she said "Real Hat". Tho I have it on good account that it wasn't his real head either.

I didn't have the hots for any of them-too young and innocent for that sort of thing though my auld fashioned friend loved Davey. I used to enjoy the show though. Saturday mornings wasn't it? Along with 'The Munsters'. Cool:)

    I liked the Monkees

    (I'll get me coat....)

Useless Information corner - Mike Nesmith was a very rich guy, his mother invented "liquid paper", a correction fluid.

I thought she created post-its... or am I getting this confused with something to do with Romy and Michelle's Highschool reunion? I do remember hearing she invented something alright.

And I too like the Monkees

The first boy band. What a group. Ok, so they were totally manufactured, didn't write their own songs (for the most part), and had other faults, but they did entertain and could sing/play.

So glad others like them, I'm not totally alone anymore!

Saw them first in the 80s on tv gosh to think that was years after they first came on to the scene they are prolly all on zimmer frames now..well ok almost.

I think Davy is..well was cute but he's was so short wanted to be a jockey bless him.

I never minded that they were manufactured, most bands are nowdays but it was such a hoo ha back then. Dolenz was a really good singer prolly the best of the lot.

Wasn't a big fan of the songs Nesmith sung preffered Davy or Micky Dolenz.

I loved it when it was first on. I fell head over heels in crush with Davy Jones. I remember one episode where his (in the show) father came over to the US to take him back to Engerland to get an education/proper job instead of wasting his time trying to become a rock star, the lads were all broken hearted and it was to my recollection the first time I cried at something on the tv. my little 10 year old heart broke for him! LOL good memories! He never left in the end...at least I dont think so...maybe Mam called me for tea...:)
