    Hi all,

I'm begining to become really interested in sports and scenic photography(think landscapes etc). What equipment would you advise a newbie to look at purchasing starting out? I'm guessing that it may be better to start off by buying a second hand body and then upgrading once I become more familiar with the equipment? Any rough idea of what kinda cash I should look to set aside to cover all this? I'm only using a point and shoot at the moment and i'm getting bored of what I can do with it! Realistically I won't be in a position to purchase anything for 9-12 months since I'm still a student but I might aswell have a figure to start working towards too.

take a look at adverts.ie and see if anything there tickles your fancy - maybe a canon 350 or nikon d70 with kit lens might be a good starter piece of kit ...

From the stickies, loads more good info there too, don't be afraid to come back and ask here though if you need anything specific.
