I've to catch an early (6am) flight on thursday morning. Wondering if I checked in at 4ish, does anyone know if the food-hall be open that early? Specifically McDonalds? Or should we prepare breakfast the night before?

Most things will be opening around that time, Mc Donalds almost definately opens at 4am these days. I get my breakfast in the foodcourt Real Food CO. place on 4am starts and it's been open by then if McD's isn't.

Something in my head tells me its 4:30 (think it goes 24 hours at the weekend and then closes 12:30 - 4:30 during the week) - I could be completely wrong but that time is stuck in my head for some reason. Either way you should be fine with a 6am flight

Someone posted asking the same thing about two weeks ago. Have a search back.

Also dublin airport website has listing of all the opening times and locations.

Ah something will definitely be open. Even if you give yourself a half-hour to check in & go through security, they'll be open by 4.30.. Loads of people waiting for flights around that time anyway.
    Egg McMuffin all the way!

It's also completely meaningless. They never adhere to the times. They also vary throughout the year; for example McD's will be 24hr in the very busy part of the summer what with all the various charters et al.

I'm gonna presume he's alreadt at the airport given it's now 20mins to 4 on the morning we're on about...but remember, McD's can only be had landside - that is, before security. I can only imagine the dissapointment :P
