    Hope this is the right forum for this, am looking for any assistance as am dead in the water. Was adjusting settings last night due to an extremely slow PC (can here ye from here; a little knowledge...):o:o Message when turn on;
    "Windows could not turn on because the following file is missing or corrupt"
    You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD-ROM. Select 'r' at the first screen to start again.

    I have original CD's that came with, but putting these in & rebooting is merely bringing me back to above message...

    Am I "*?@^"$ed"

    Any help on this greatly appreciated...:confused:

    You need to enter the BIOS set-up usually by pressing the delete key during boot. Then changing the boot order and put the CD drive as primary boot device.
