    Hi,

Just in the middle of setting up a new laptop. First thing I installed was AVG Free 8.0

Started to download the usual software. Downloaded and installed Adobe Reader 9 and AIR. Next thing I know I've an AVG popup telling me that "Trojan Horse Generic 11.PWW" was found in the AIR installer.

    "..\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Setup Files\AIR\Adobe AIR Installer.exe"

Can't seem to find any info on this. False alarm maybe?

    Thanks

Go to VirScan.org and upload the file there

36 AV scanners will scan it

    Post the log here

You didn't download a crack of Adobe ?

Nope. Downloaded Reader and AIR and Shockwave from www.adobe.com

Edit: Can't get at the file, AVG has it in the Virus Vault.

No wonders it being a mistake on AVGs part, they have really gone down hill over the past year

Use that site VirScan.org in the future if you are ever suspicious of a file, extremely handy
